 NORTH ANDOVER — It was a hectic 15 minutes for Dominic Tritto, who was nursing a sore hamstring and competing in two events at the Division 1 North track meet at the same time Saturday morning.

One of three competitors left in the high jump, the Central Catholic senior was called to the long jump area 30 yards away for his first attempt in his flight. Three minutes after that leap left him in sixth, Tritto was preparing a try at his personal best with a 6-4 high-jump attempt.

ANDOVER —  It took nine years for the North Andover boys to win their first MVC Open Championship in spring track.

In an easy win over Lowell, Andover's Olivia Foster (10-0, pole vault), Sara Folan (120-1, javelin) and Peyton Levental (3 sprint wins) all shined.

North Andover's girls toppled Andover 89-56 in a battle of two of the top track programs in the region. Ava Nassar swept the dashes and led the Knights in the relays and Aisling Callahan was first in the mile in 5:27.8. Jodi Parrot was a double winner for Andover.t
