It was a victory seven years in the making, and the Haverhill/Pentucket/North Andover co-op girls hockey team reached the milestone in dramatic fashion.

Eliana Kane hauled in a pass at the far blue line, broke past two defenders and fired a shot home with 0:20 left in the game, giving HPNA its first ever victory over defending Division 1 state champion Methuen/Tewksbury, 3-2 on Wednesday night at Haverhill High.

Brenna Greene celebrated her senior night with a pair of goals to lead Methuen/Tewksbury to a 3-1 win over Billerica/Chelmsford.

Freshman Nikole Gosse had a night to remember, scoring her first career goal to lift Methuen-Tewksbury to a 3-2 win over Acton-Boxboro.

The Andover girls hockey team got its biggest win of the year, getting three goals from Lauren Adams to take down defending Division 1 state champ Metheun/Tewksbury, 4-3. Hannah Rowe scored the other goal for the Warriors (7-4-3), and Jess Driscoll had a hat trick for the Red Rangers.

Methuen senior Claudia Crowe scored the first goal of her career to highlight Methuen/Tewksbury's 5-1 victory over Newton South. Five players scored for the Rangers(8-1-4).

With 18.9 seconds left in regulation, Lydia Pendleton took a feed off a shot from Brenna Greene and found the back of the net to lift Methuen-Tewksbury to a thrilling 1-1 ties against Waltham. The Red Rangers fired 46 shots before finally breaking through.

With just over a minute left in a tie game, Brenna Greene fired a shot on net that led to a juicy rebound. But after the puck was juggled around for a bit, it came to the stick of Jess Driscoll who fired it into the back of the net to give Methuen-Tewksbury a 3-2 win over Boston Latin. The win was also goalie Kaia Hollingsworth's 100th in net for the Red Rangers.

Jessica Driscoll scored four goals including the winner with about two minutes to play as Methuen-Tewksbury shaded Westford, 4-3.

METHUEN - Jessica Driscoll wasn't quite sure how the puck ended up on her stick, but she knew just what to do.

"I have no idea who passed it to me," said the Methuen/Tewksbury sophomore. "But I got it and I thought, ‘I might as well shoot it. There's nothing to lose.' So I took the shot, and it went in. It was so exciting. That is one of our biggest rivals, so to score the last goal is amazing."
