Haverhill Hillies Girls Gymnastics '19-'20

Positives in defeat

Despite falling to a talented Chelmsford/Tyngsboro/Billerica team, there was still a lot for the Haverhill gymnastics team to be proud of. The Hillies' score of 138.75 was by far their best of the season, Maren Eramo set a new personal-best in the all-around with a 37.25 and others like Reardon Suazo (9.1 on vault) also scored personal bests.

Eramo leads Hillies

 

Maren Eramo won two events and the all-around as Haverhill rallied past Central Catholic 136.5-135.75. Cailey Simard also had a big day for the Hillies, who are now 4-2.

Eramo, Hillies roll

Maren Eramo won the vault (9.2), bars (9.4), beam (9.4) and all-around (36.4) as Haverhill topped Andover 137.15-134.8. Kayleigh Durant added a victory in the floor exercise (8.85) for the Hillies, who set a team record for points in a meet, according to coach Melanie Tarbox.

Hillies edge Knights

Kasey Burke had a fantastic day for the North Andover gymnastics team, winning every event with highs in the bars (9.6), vault (9.55) and beam (9.3) to win the all-around (37.05). But Haverhill squeaked out a 132.7-131.85 win, thanks in large part to the efforts of Maren Eramo, who placed second in every event besides the floor.

Ramos leads Methuen

 

Methuen had a little more depth and Adiamos Ramos won two events as the Rangers edged Haverhill in a season-opening gymnastics meet. Maren Eramo was first in the bars and the all-around winner for the Hillies.
