Pentucket Sachems Boys Track and Field '19

Clohisy, Lopata set records

Jack Clohisy and Peter Lopata each set school records on the way to individual titles as Pentucket placed fourth as a team at the EMass. Division 4 track Meet at Norwell High School.

Clohisy broke his own Sachem record and took the crown in the 400 hurdles (56.41). He also won the title in the 110 hurdles (14.94).

Lopata broke the school and meet record on the way to the title in the mile (4:18.01). That is 12th best in Eagle-Tribune area history.

Lopate then joined Keegan Comeau, Anthony Accardi and Will Coppola to win the 4x800 (8:23.23) after being seeded third.

"It was great to see Jack defend both his Division 4 titles," said coach Steve Derro. He has really had a phenomenal season.
Peter ran outstanding in the mile, I was hoping for around 4:20 or maybe a little under, then he drops a 4:18.01 in that heat which was outstanding. Breaking the meet record held by Jon Gregorek was just incredible."
