Salem heads to semis

The Salem volleyball team made quick work of Keene, winning, 3-0, to advance to the NHIAA Division 1 state semifinals. Ben Laycock had 12 kills and Roman Fabrizio supplied 35 assists in the win. The second-seeded Blue Devils are set to face No. 3 Goffstown on Thursday (5 p.m.) with a trip to the finals on the line.

Jake Morrier and Alex Kakouris made sure their Senior Night was one to remember. Morrier finished with a team-high 11 kills and Kakouris had a team-high 31 assists to help Timberlane sweep Keene, 3-0.

Astros get big win

Pinkerton volleyball handed Keene its first loss of the season, winning the fourth and fifth set to overcome a 2-1 deficit and win, 3-2. On his birthday, Hunter Hazard led with 23 kills, while Justin Dunne led the way with four blocks in his first ever varsity match.
