Brooks rolls into finals

 

NORTH ANDOVER — The Brooks field hockey team certainly played up to its No. 1 seed at Home Saturday, rolling over St. Marks in the Class B prep semifinals.

The unbeaten Green and White (16-0-2) led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Caroline O'Keefe and pulled away in the second half on goals by Charlotte Marks and Lucy Verdone. Goalie Katie Wimmer of Windham made two saves to notch her 11th shutout of the season.

Overtime winner

 

Senior Caroline O'Keefe scored in overtime with 3:32 left on an assist from Andover's Lucy Adams to keep Brooks field hockey undefeated (15-0-2) with a 2-1 victory over Pomfret in the quarterfinals of the Class B tournament. Top-seeded Brooks will now host No. 3 seed St. Mark's in the semifinals at 2 p.m. Saturday.

ISL Champs

Brooks field hockey won the ISL title after beating Milford Academy 5-0. Andover's Lucy Adams and North Andover's Caroline Kukas both scored for Brooks, which also got its 10th shutout of the year from goalie Emma Houlihan.
