Brooks drops finale

Brooks dropped its season-finale to BB&N 42-14.
The Green-and-White trailed 35-0 before getting on the scoreboard in the fourth on a 64-yard touchdown pass from Connor Silva to John Fritz. Brooks capped the scoring when John Manzi ran for a 4-yard score. 
Silva finished with 88 passing yards, 84 of those to Silva. Manzi led Brooks with 48 rushing yards on six carries.

Briand shows way for Brooks

NORTH ANDOVER — Kobe Briand passed, ran and caught Brooks to a 35-6 win over Rivers at Anna Trustey Field. A 6-2, 205-pound junior, "The Mamba" carried nine times for 163 yards with TD runs of 8, 70 and 41 yards, completed all three of his passes and caught a pass. Ben Gill carried for 94 yards and two scores.

Brooks can't keep up

 

NORTH ANDOVER — Unbeaten St. Sebastian was too much for Brooks Friday night, scoring on two quick touchdowns and rolling to a 37-6 victory.

Brooks (2-4) cut an early hole to 14-6 late in the first quarter when Kobe Briand scored on a 9-yard pass from Connor Silva but St. Sebastian (6-0) scored the next 23 points for the win.

Defense holds strong for Brooks

Brooks can't figure out undefeated Thayer

BRAINTREE — After getting its first win last week, Brooks couldn't make it two in a row following a 32-7 loss at undefeated Thayer Academy (4-0) on Saturday.

Thayer jumped out to a 19-0 lead after the first quarter before Brooks (1-3) got on the board with a Ben Gill 4-yard rushing touchdown.

Brooks drops defensive struggle

NORTH ANDOVER — Points were at a premier Saturday afternoon, but when the final buzzer sounded Brooks had dropped a 15-12 nailbitter to Groton.

After a scoreless first half, Brooks (0-2) struck first when John Manzi broke off a 20-yard touchdown run, but the extra point attempt failed. Groton (2-0) quickly responded with a Caleb Coleman 11-yard run to make it a 7-6 game, but Brooks took a 12-7 lead heading into the fourth when Darrel Yepdo caught a 7-yard pass from Connor Silva.

Brooks handled by Governor's in opener

NEWBURY — Brooks couldn't contain a talented Governor's Academy team, falling in its season opener 42-15.

Newburyport's Quin Stott was the star for Governor's. The senior running back piled up four rushing touchdowns, including the first two of the game to help Governor's open up an eventual 22-0 lead.
