Sanborn ends season strong

PETERBOROUGH — Sanborn finished strong.

The Indians (3-6) romped over ConVal, 30-6, Friday night to finish their season with two straight wins. 

Sophomore Jackson Paradis ended his stellar season rushing for 131 yards on 20 carries with a touchdown in the win. Ben Giles (9-30), Tavante Thornton (6-34) and Matthew Sarette all had rushing TDs for the Indians, who led ConVal (1-8) 20-0 at halftime.

Sanborn stuns Gilford

KINGSTON — Sanborn didn't just beat Gilford Saturday afteroon, the Indians stunned the entire state with a convincing 24-0 win.

Sophomore Jackson Paradis led the offense yet again for the Indians (2-6), rushing for 133 yards on 24 carries with a touchdown while also hauling in a 60-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Sarette. Ben Giles also had a touchdown, and Austin Kalinowski drilled a 34-yard field goal as the Indians led 17-0 at half and 24-0 after three quarters.

Shaky second quarter dooms Sanborn

HOLLIS — What was a tight game early turned into a 27-13 halftime deficit for Sanborn after host Hollis-Brookline put up 21 points in the second quarter.

The Cavaliers (4-2) used that big frame to earn a comfortable 41-21 win over the Indians Friday night.

Paradis shines but Alvirne whips Sanborn

HUDSON, N.H. — Jackson Paradis scored twice in the first quarter and upset-minded Sanborn was tied with Alvirne, 14-14.

But the Broncos woke up after that and scored 43 unanswered points against the visitors en route to a 57-14 win. Paradis gained 12 times for 70 yards on the game. Quarterback Matthew Sarette had the other Indian points on a 2-point conversion.

KINGSTON — Souhegan scored 16 points in the fourth quarter to earn a comeback win over Sanborn.

The Indians (1-3), led 21-13 at halftime and 21-20 heading into the fourth, but couldn't hold on.

Sanborn gets a slice of Paradis

MANCHESTER — Sanborn interim coach Tony King wanted to ease sophomore Jackson Paradis into the rotation slowly.

But, after the 5-foot-10, 190-pound running back gashed Manchester West for 139 yards on 15 carries with two touchdowns Friday night, that probably won't be the case anymore. Paradis' big night helped the Indians get off to a season-opening 23-20 win over Manchester West.
