BILLERICA — Senior fullback Albert Villa rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner with 5:29 left, as Greater Lawrence rallied past Shawsheen 32-27.
Sophomore O.J. Belliard sealed the win with an interception at the Shawsheen 40 with 1:40 to play.
Edgardo Garcia and Co. opened some gaping holes and the Reggies' ground game was in overdrive. The Reggies (5-2) gained 353 yards on 47 carries with Villa (23-197, 2 TDs) and Belliard (129 yards, 1 TD) leading the way.
E.J. Andrade had a sack and an interception and Garcia contributed seven tackles and two sacks.
The Reggies await North Sectional playoff pairings.
BILLERICA — Elijah Harris rushed in from 29 yards out to cut Whittier's deficit to just one score 1:07 into the fourth quarter. But the Wildcats could not muster the tying points, and Shawsheen punched in a final score with just over two minutes left to down for a 28-14 victory.
