Owls now 24-0

 

Timberlane swept Hollis-Brookline, Nashua South and Pinkerton (51-26) to improve to 24-0 on the year. Cody Lewis had his best day of the year, going 3-0 with two pins at 106, junior Dan Scalzo picked up his 100th win of his career and sophomore Cam Altobelli had a big pin against Pinkerton to spark that victory. Pin machine Ryan Peters and Derek Bohle both had three pins.

Senior night delight

 

On senior night, Timberlane's six seniors in the lineup all recorded pins as the Owls remained unbeaten (21-0) with a 48-15 victory over Bishop Guertin. Mike DiGregorio had a 22-second pin at 182 to lead rthe way.

McLinden wins it

 

Tim McLinden gave up a penalty point at the end of regulation, but then got a takedown in overtime to win his fourth match of the day and five Timberlane a 33-29 victory over Danbury, the No. 1 -ranked team in Connecticut, to capture the New Fairfield Dual-Meet Tournament.

Owls freshman Cody Lewis came from behind to pin his opponent in 1:49. Timberlane won 74-0 over Salem to improve to 16-0.

Timberlane coach Barry Chooljian was concerned about Nashua North yesterday, but the Owls prevailed 48-25 in a tri-meet at Merrimack to record their 87th straight dual victory in New Hampshire and remain unbeaten on the year at 15-0.

Owls rule Conn.

 

Timberlane represented the region impressively with four victories in Coinnecticut, including 45-21 over No. 5-ranked Simsbury and 41-24 over No. 7 Ledyard. 

"It was a great day for our program and our middle weights really carried us," said Timberlane coach Barry Chooljian, whose team improved to 12-0.
