Lancer run is over

After Londonderry rode Jenny Thompson and Leah Walter to a quick 2-0 lead, Souhegan went on a prolonged surge to grab a six-goal lead, holding off the Lancers for the 16-9 victory in the Division 1 semifinals. Walter and Thompson had three goals each as Londonderry was denied a shot at a fourth straight title.

Keefe, Andover take down Londonderry

A year after Andover snapped Londonderry girls lacrosse's 51-game winning streak, the Golden Warriors again topped their New Hampshire rival, besting the Lancers 18-7. Ally Fazio led the Golden Warriors with six goals and a pair of assists while Meagan Keefe scored four key goals, Anne Farnham also had four scores and Jill Beucler made 10 saves.

Londonderry streak snapped

Londonderry made it 59 in a row in Division 1 play with a lopsided 16-4 win over Pinkerton. Leah Walter (5), Jenny Thompson (4) and Julia Wasserman (3) combined for 12 goals. Next up is unbeaten Concord, which lost to the Lancers by just one goal in last y ear's title game.

Battle of Mass and NH ends in a tie

Duxbury took a one-goal lead with 25 seconds to play, but Londonderry won the draw and Leah Walter (five goals) notched the equalizer as Londonerry tied Duxbury 19-19 (no overtime played). Jenny Thompson had seven goals to pace the Lancers (3-0-1) while Alexa Bedell added six.
