Haverhill's boys ended its  season on a high note, nipping playoff-bound Methuen 50-49. Noah Vonleh was the story for the Hillies (7-13) with 19 points just the start of his contributions.

Dawrin Pereyra (20 points, 5 assists, 3 steals), Jaylen Alicea ( 11 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists. 4 steals) and Jesse Hiraldo (9 points, 11 rebounds) put up big numbers as Lawrence rolled past Haverhill, 77-51. Noah Vonleh had 18 points in defeat.

Freshman Matt Jameson netted a 3-pointer to give Haverhill boys basketball a 48-46 with 2 seconds left. Haverhill won by that score — coming back from a 15-point, second-half deficit. Noah Vonleh poured in 32 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead the Hillies.

Noah Vonleh scored 14 points, collected 18 rebounds, made 10 assists and added 8 blocks to lead Haverhill boys basketball to a 70-55 victory over Billerica. Edwin Valentin poured in 24 points, including netting seven 3-pointers.

Following up a tough Cape Ann League defeat to Manchester Essex on Jan. 14, North Andover rebounded quite nicely yesterday afternoon, scoring 29 first-quarter points en route to an easy 82-59 nonleague road win over Haverhill yesterday before a packed house.

Evan Sheehan tossed in 16 points but his key stat came on the other end. The senior guard had a whopping 11 steals in Central Catholic's 86-53 win over Haverhill.

Craig Schellenbach scored all 25 of his points in the first half, including five 3-pointers, and Billerica posted a 67-60 win over Haverhill.
