Freshman Matt Jameson netted a 3-pointer to give Haverhill boys basketball a 48-46 with 2 seconds left. Haverhill won by that score — coming back from a 15-point, second-half deficit. Noah Vonleh poured in 32 points and grabbed 19 rebounds to lead the Hillies.

North Andover's quick start buries Haverhill

HAVERHILL - A basketball coach always wonders how his team will recover after a tough loss. Normally, however, he doesn't have to wait nine days to get his answer.

Following up a tough Cape Ann League defeat to Manchester Essex on Jan. 14, North Andover rebounded quite nicely yesterday afternoon, scoring 29 first-quarter points en route to an easy 82-59 nonleague road win over Haverhill yesterday before a packed house.
