DERRY — On a day when the great filly Zenyatta was unable to wrap up her career undefeated, the Londonderry girls volleyball team had no such problems finishing off its stellar two-year run.

Megan Schwarz had 19 points, 19 kills and eight digs to lead Londonderry to a 3-0 win over Nashua North, in Division 1 Quarterfinal action.  The No. 1 Lancers advance to Wednesday's semifinal meeting vs. Alvirne, Wednesday (at Pinkerton).

Londonderry rolled in its first-round volleyball matchup with Manchester Memorial, 25-15, 25-13, 25-10. Amy Johnson assisted on 34 points for the Lancers, who improved to 19-0 on the year.

With the Schwarz twins, Megan and Katie, combining for 41 kills, Londonderry won its showdown of unbeatens with Spaulding in four games. The Lancers rolled in the first game, 25-12, and won the second game 25-21 and the fourth 25-17. Amy Johnson chipped in with a team-high 38 assists and 10 service points for Londonderry (15-0).  

Amy Johnson had 38 assists and 10 service points to lead Londonderry to a win against the previously unbeaten Spaulding. Londonderry improves to 15-0 and Spaulding falls to 14-1.

Hollis-Brookline gave Londonderry's volleyball team a scare before the unbeaten Lancers regrouped for a 3-1 victory. Megan Schwarz had a huge night with 30 kills and 21 digs while sister Katie had 16 kills and 20 digs. Amy Johnson had 44 assists for the Lancers (12-0) to go past 1,000 (1,032) for her career while also leading in service points with 16. 

Amy Johnson powered Londonderry to a 3-0 sweep of Pinkerton in Mack Plaque play. Johnson notched a whopping 28 assists and 11 service points.

Amy Johnson had 41 assists tonight during Londonderry's win over Exeter in volleyball. This puts Johnson's career assists over 900.

Merrimack gave Londonderry an early wake-up call, but strong seven-point serving runs from Megan Schwarz and Brianna Mastromarino turned the tide and got the Lancers a 3-1 victory.
