Salem wins tight match

If looks can be deceiving, then do not pay any attention to the fact that No. 3 Salem posted a 3-0 win over No. 6 Hollis-Brookline, in yesterday's quarterfinal action.

"It certainly wasn't a 3-0 match," said Salem head coach Dan Young after his team squeaked out a trip to the semifinals with a sweep game scores of 25-22, 29-27, 26-24.

Survives scare


Hollis-Brookline gave Londonderry's volleyball team a scare before the unbeaten Lancers regrouped for a 3-1 victory. Megan Schwarz had a huge night with 30 kills and 21 digs while sister Katie had 16 kills and 20 digs. Amy Johnson had 44 assists for the Lancers (12-0) to go past 1,000 (1,032) for her career while also leading in service points with 16.
