Windham Jaguars Girls Soccer '10

One tough keeper

Morgin Wheeler was spectacular in goal for Windham, stopping all eight shots she faced against a tough Oyster River (13-2) squad, but the Jaguars (2-12-2) fell 1-0 in its season finale.

Wheeler made a spectacular save in the first half, stopping an Oyster River player on a breakaway. But after the save, the Oyster River attacker's momemtum brought her to the net, where she cleated Wheeler in the face, forcing the sophomore to make a trip to the hospital to get an 8-stitch gash sewn back together.

Tough to get anything past Zukas.

Sanborn keeper Heather Zukas recorded her sixth shutout of the season, with the most recent being yesterday's 2-0 blanking of Windham.  The senior keeper turned aside four shots to help the Indians improve to 7-2.

Goffstown 7, Windham 4

Goffstown got off to a quick start and held on for a 7-4 victory over Windham. Freshman Sarah Chau was fierce offensively for Windham, scoring twice and adding an assist. Sophomores Bernadette Connors and Amanda Schiebel also found the mark in defeat.

Impressive debut

Windham's girls soccer team turned its first varsity game into an impressive 4-1 victory. Bernadette Connors led the Jaguars with two goals and an assist and Sarah Chau contributed a pair of assists.
