Pelham's boys lacrosse team was right in the game against unbeaten Kingswood at halftime yesterday in the Division 2 semifinals, trailing 7-5, but the No. 1 seed pulled away for an 18-6 victory. Alec Paradis had three goals and an assist for Pelham (13-4).

Pelham goalie John Dostie held down the fort with 16 saves in a 10-4 win against Kearsage's daunting offense. "Kearsarge had the best offense in the league, and our defense was just unbelievable," said coach Matt Regan.  Nick Morin led all goal scorers with four goals and an assist.  Alec Paradis scored a pair and added two helpers in the win.

Junior midfielder Richie Sullivan set a Pelham record with seven assists as the Pythons (11-3) blasted Steves 14-1. Nick Morin potted five goals and John Dostie stopped 11 of the 12 shots he faced to pickup the win.

Adding another defensive gem to its resume, Pelham shackled a pesky John Stark Regional team in an 8-1 victory, the seventh game of eight where the Pythons allowed single digits in goals. Joe Perrone was a key factor in the near-shutout as the defensive midfielder helped to limit John Stark's scoring opportunities.

Pelham turned in a subpar effort against unbeaten Derryfield, dropping an 11-4 decision. The Pythons' long-pole defenders — Brian Finney, Anthony Spirou and Peter Soonthornprapuet — provided the positives for the locals.

Six goals from Nick Narbilas made Salem's day a little easier in a 12-5 victory over Pelham. Josh Fisette had three goals to lead the Pythons.
