Jody Sullivan is a Haverhill institution.

For the past 21 years, she's coached the varsity field hockey team. For the past 14, she's been a police officer in town.

Sullivan, a Haverhill High (1980) and Springfield College graduate who's currently the school resource officer at Whittier Tech, caught up with us this week.

Haverhill won its final regular season game 1-0 over Lawrence. Captain Emily Maranto scored the game winner on an assist from Danielle Honig. Armela Muca, Colleen Whalen and Meg Hefferan played well for Haverhill. Ramona Moore and Dilenia Matta played well on defense for the Lancers.

Jessi McCarthy and Dana Shaffer scored to help Methuen shut out Haverhill 2-0. Alison Krusell and Brittany Forkus each played well for the Rangers. Briana Guerin made 15 saves for the Hillies.

Three different goal scorers propelled Dracut past Haverhill 4-0. Hillies goaltender Brianna Guerin made seven saves in the defeat as the Haverhill fell to 1-4.

Catherine Gross scored twice and Brittany Isenhart had a pair of assists as Andover topped Haverhill, 4-0. Sarah Oteri and Heather Sullivan added the other goals for Andover (5-0, 4-0 MVC). Haverhill goalie Briana Guerin was busy, making 25 saves.

Haverhill had no answers for Stephanie Chaisson, who compiled three goals and an assist as Methuen routed the Hillies 8-0. Amanda Getchell (2 goals) and Paige Dugay (2 assists) both also had strong games for the Rangers.
