CAL champions

North Andover put the finishing touches on its undefeated Cape Ann League championship boys track season by recording a 57-29 win over Masconomet.  Junior Griffin Coakley won the two-mile in a time of 10:31.6 and the team of John Manteiga, Brandon Lash, Deshawn Gordon and Max O'Brien won the 4x400 in a time of 4:02.8.

Jumping for joy

 Central Catholic's Armando Bucciarelli, Xavier Peralta and Chris Berganti won the high jump at the Division 2 state relays. The Raiders, who tied for third place, also got a second in the hurdles where those three teamed with Luis Penzo.

Throwing for a win

Dylan Lurvey's 44-7 in the shot put led the North Andover boys to victories over North Reading and Ipswich and Candice Waldie broke her own school record with a 34-3 3/4 in the shot to give the Scarlet Knight girls wins over the same to schools.
