Despite being outshot 20-6, No. 11 White Mountains stunned No. 2 Sanborn, 2-0, in the Class M quarterfinals. It was the second straight year the Indians were upset in the quarters. "We outplayed them," said Indians coach Al Magnusson. "It was phenomenal how many shots we had. It was unfortunate."

Sanborn advanced last night to the quarterfinals of the New Hampshire Class M tournament with a 3-1 win over Littleton. The Indians will play Friday against White Mountain. Rob Palumbo scored two and Logan Moore chipped in one to lead Sanborn. Jeff DiManna had a good game on defense along with Josh DiBurro, and Mike Delano had a superb game on the offensive side.

Sanborn reached its highlight of the season by defeating the defending state champions and second place Hopkinton in a 1-0 overtime victory. Two minutes into overtime, Steve Palumbo assisted twin Rob in the only goal of the game, which led to Hopkinton's first loss on the year. Goalie Nick Fogarty reported his fifth shutout of the season. This win puts the Indians in fourth place in the Class M Division of the state with a record of 10-2-0.

Al Magnusson calls it "telepathic" and it's safe to say the rest of Sanborn's foes may just call it a major pain in the neck.

What is it? It's the unspoken communication that comes when two of the best scoring threats in the area not only share the same team jersey for three years, but the same address for a lifetime.

Rob Palumbo picked up his 11th and 12th goals and his brother, Steve, added a third as Sanborn put a complete 80 minutes together in a 3-0 win over Hillsboro at home. Nick Fogarty turned back seven shots to pick up the shutout.
