She's a freshman

 Five-foot-10 freshman Molly Hoopes scored eight points and collected  12 rebounds but Haverhill still lost 51-41 to Dracut. Hoopes is averaging 13 rebounds per game over the past three contests.

Raiders get defensive

A couple of Central Catholic athletes came off the bench and did a fine job subduing Dracut in a convincing 75-45 triumph. Juniors Juliana Piemonte (6 points and 2 steals) and Courtney Williams (8 points) provided impressive  defense for the Raiders (11-1).

Scarpa starts for Boudreau

Alicia Scarpa started for the injured Nicole Boudreau and and scored 11 points in 4 of 7 shooting as Andover won 71-49 over Dracut. Boudreau, who didn't play, injured her ankle last Friday in a game against Central Catholic. She is expected to miss this week.

All about Agboola

Rashidat Agboola "can do it all," according to Methuen head coach Karen McLaughlin, and the senior proved it in a 53-49 Ranger victory over Dracut. Hitting on three 3-pointers, Agboola finished with 36 points to close within 28 points of the 1,000-point plateau, adding 17 rebounds to the dominant performance.
