Trevor Updike and Hunter Seabrook won at second doubles (6-4, 6-4).

Nick Filipancic (6-3, 6-4) improved to 10-2 on the season for Newburyport despite the team's loss.

Newburyport cleaned house with a nice sweep of Triton, 5-0.  Tony Dube and Hunter Seabrook (6-2, 6-1) played the match of the day for the Clippers at second doubles.

Rebounding from a tough loss earlier in the week to North Reading, Newburyport played some of its best tennis of the season, according to coach Neil Reardon, to beat the traditionally strong Lynnfield team.

Tied going into the final match, Chris Coroniti rallied to take No. 3 singles 2-6, 6-4, 6-2 and earn North Reading a 3-2 win over Newburyport.

Charlie Knowlton and Ryan Keene won at first doubles (6-1, 6-0) for Newburyport. Hunter Seabrook and Tony Dube won at second doubles (6-2, 6-3).

Nick Filipancic won his singles match against Ryan Swansey in three sets. Nick Ross and Matt Mogren also won singles matches.

Nick Filipancic posted Newburyport's only victory (6-4, 6-3), beating Chris Hakusui in first singles.

In a tightly contested match with Ipswich, Newburyport swept the doubles with Charlie Knowlton and Ryan Keene (6-2, 6-2) taking down first doubles and Hunter Sebrook along with Tony Dube (7-5, 6-0) won in second doubles.
