Triton (9-0) clinched a share of the Cape Ann League title for the second consecutive season. The Vikings have won 22 consecutive meets, dating back to April of 2007.

Tori Clay, Colleen Loughlin, Brittany Caprio and Rachelle Bourque won two events each for Triton. Clay won the 400-hurdles (1:10.1) and triple jump (31-1). Loughlin placed first in the 2-mile (12:09) and mile (5:44). Caprio won the long jump (15-7) and 400 (1:03.5). Bourque finished first in the shot put (34-1) and the javelin (122-10). Sarah Murray (high jump, 4-8), Ashley Pinette (discus, 99-2), Meredith McWeeney (100, 13.6), the 4x100 relay team (54.7) of McWeeney, Taelour Murphy, Lauren Robert, and Becca Moore; and the 4x400 team (4:35) of Bethany Saunders, Lauren Breen, Jenna Norton, and Clay earned first-place finishes.

The Newburyport Clippers used a full team effort in outdueling the Lynnfield Pioneers yesterday, 93-52. Melissa Derrico placed first in the discus (94' 0") and the shot put (28'8"), and Lindsay Cullen (2 mile; 12:55), Kendra Gaylord (pole vault; 6'6"), Taylor Burl (high hurdles; 18.2), Kerry Johnson (javelin; 60' 0"), Hannah McCormick (triple jump; 30'7"), Kim Martins (mile; 6:05), and Avery Cullinan (800; 2:43) also notched first place finishes.
