Pentucket 8, Triton 2

Aided by a brilliant pick-off throw by catcher Mike Doud in the fourth inning to get out of a jam and two textbook suicide-squeeze bunts, Pentucket played smart ball against Triton to come out on top.  Pentucket coach Tom L'Italien said his pitcher Adam Newell bore down in big moments and it was a great team win with timely hitting and several well-executed plays.

Amesbury 16, Pentucket 2

Sophomore pitcher Sean Ward pitched seven innings, allowing three hits and two runs while recording four strikeouts for Amesbury (7-8). John Tassanari was 3 for 3 with two home runs, four RBIs, and four runs scored. Jared Flannigan was 1 for 2 with three RBIs. Tyler Lay (2 for 4), Ward (2 for 3, 3 runs), and Joseph Mejia (2 for 2, 2 runs) had multiple hits.

Newburyport 5, Pentucket 3

Tom Morris got a big win on the mound over River Rivals Pentucket as the Clippers played some phenomenal defense behind the senior starter, 5-3. According to Newburyport coach Bill Pettingell, Joe Clancy (RBI), who also got the save, made two of the best plays he has ever seen a high school short stop make.

Connor Walsh's sacrifice fly in the ninth inning scored Ryan Sifferlen with the game-winning run in North Andover's 1-0, extra inning win. Sifferlen started the winning rally with a walk, then stole second before advancing to third on a passed ball. Alce Jillson had the lone Knight's hit.

The meat of the Pentucket lineup - Jordan Silva, Dan Johanson, and Chris Modlish - combined to go 6 for 10 with four runs scored and four RBIs and carry the Sachems to their eighth win in their last 10 games. Matt Berry (4 innings pitched, 2 earned runs, 4 strike outs, 4 walks) got the win for Pentucket.

Long balls lift Sachems

Pentucket got two-run home runs from Jordan Silva and Brendan Locke as the Sachems outlasted Ipswich 8-7. Locke's bomb to leftfield capped a five-run first inning for Pentucket as it jumped out to an early lead before Ipswich gradually closed the gap.

Pentucket was homer happy against Masconomet hitting three shots, but unfortunately the Sachems did not have anyone on base at the time. Jordan Silva was 3 for 4 with two home runs, Chris Modlish was 2 for 4 with a homer, and Dan Johanson was 3 for 4.
