Newburyport coach Catherine Batchelder said her team worked really hard in an exciting game to get the Clippers' first win of the season over Haverhill, 8-7. Laura Fallon led the way for the Clippers with four goals.

Despite strong defense from Kaleigh Hanes, Haverhill fell to Danvers, 14-3, in a non-league encounter. Sophomore Kailey Burke scored twice for the Hillies (1-1) and classmate Molly Gleason had their other goal.
