Hojlo to the rescue

Trailing 48-44 at the end of the third quarter, Pelham needed a superb individual effort and Justin Hojlo was willing to answer the call. Hojlo ripped off 18 of his career-high 41 points in the fourth quarter, going 7 for 8 from the line in the final frame to lead the Pythons to a 68-63 win over Souhegan. Sophomore sensations Stephen Spirou (11 points) and Michael Lombard (7 points, 9 boards) were pivotal in the victory, as well.

Trailing 45-44 to Oyster River, the Pelham boys basketball team went on a 22-7 surge to defeat Oyster River, 67-52, in a key Class I matchup. Justin Hojlo scored 22 of his game-high 31 points in the second half to pace Pelham.

Hmm. The Pelham High boys trailed Bedford early, 13-12.
Enter Justin Hojlo, who ignited a 36-4 run by the Pythons, who went on to decimate the Bucs, 88-40.
Hojlo, who played barely more than a half, finished with 30 points and eight assists. Stephen Spirou added 18 points, and sophomore Michael Lombard delivered 14 with nine boards.

The Hojlo show

Justin Hojlo has been a beast for 2-2 Pelham this season. Through four games, the senior guard is averaging 26 points per game, by far the highest mark on the team. Hojlo led the Pythons to a 62-53 victory over Londonderry in yesterday’s Lowell Holiday Tourney consolation game with 31 points, including three 3-pointers. Stephen Spirou and Michael Lombard chipped in with 11 points apiece. David Feinstein led the Lancers in scoring with 14 points.

Hojlo shines in defeat

The Pelham boys basketball team lost to Acton-Boxborough 75-72, but Justin Hojlo sure looked good in the three-point loss. The 5-10 senior guard nailed 10 field goals and eight free throws en route to a game-high 30-points and also recorded eight assists. Sophomore Stephen Spirou racked up 21 points, and Michael Lombard had 12 rebounds to go along with his 11 points.

What a second half!

After showing rust in its season opener in the first half, the Pelham boys basketball team erupted for 43 points in the final two quarters for a 68-53 victory at Milford.

Justin Hojlo scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half for Pelham, which trailed 29-25 at halftime, and added seven assists, including four to sophomore Steve Spirou, who had 10 of his 20 points in the third quarter. Connor McColgan chipped in with eight rebounds.
