Nuttall take two

North Andover's Jacob Nuttall won the 110 hurdles (15.9) and 400 hurdles to lead the way at the Merrimack Valley Conference North Invitational. Central Catholic football star Matthias Latham won the javelin (153-0) and Lawrene's Argenis Lucinno took the discus (110-5).

Knights claim title

North Andover locked up the Merrimack Valley Conference large division track title, closing out Andover, 100-45, to move to 5-0 on the spring.
Nate Jacques, Matt Wessel and Nate Williams dominated the throws for the Scarlet Knights in the win.

Abgor doubles

Caleb Agbor won the long jump and high jump and Alex Niejadlik had a speedy 15.0 to win the hurdles as North Andover beat Haverhill, 110-35. Haverhill's Ricardo Galloway starred in the 400 hurdles.

North Andover wins relays, Central second

The host North Andover boys (70 points) took first, edging No. 2 Central Catholic (61) at the MSTCA Division 2 Relays on Saturday. 
The Scarlet Knights won the distance medley (10:52.68), 4x1600 (18:42.63) and pole vault (112-3).
The Raiders dominated the sprints, winning the 4x100 (44.38), shuttle hurdles (1:05.69), 4x200 (1:30.45) and 4x400 (3:22.96).
"I've got to be the proudest guy in North Andover right now," said Scarlet Knights boys coach and athletic director Steve Nugent. "Our boys (and girls) just competed their butts off today and I'm so happy that they got enough points to be crowned state champs. We built our program to be competitive at this meet and it's working out pretty well so far."

Zack Attack

Zack Traficante won the triple jump and the high jump and Camden Reiland took the mile and ran on the winning 4x400 team. They helped North Andover defeat Central Catholic, 83.62. Central's Ethan Pater had a speedy sprint double.

Zack Traficante won the triple jump (36-7) and high jump (5-10) to lead North Andover to a 94-50 win over Methuen. For the Rangers, freshman Josh Kwakye won the 100 (11.87) and 200 (24.38).
