LONDONDERRY — Timberlane's boys basketball team lost its Cinderella slipper in the second half late Saturday afternoon.

Timberlane's boys basketball team continued to play well, winning its second tournament game, 52-40 over Merrimack. Luke Surprenant led the offense with 16 points, Robert Olson had 11 points and 8 rebounds and Sean Chanakira had eight points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

Timberlane, which lost to Windham twice during the regular season, pulled off the upset Monday with a 59-55 victory on the road in the first round of the Division 1 tournament.

Ryan Pacy poured in a career-high 26 points as Salem won its first game of the season, 69-55 over Timberlane. The Blue Devils zoomed out to a 41-16 halftime lead and never looked back. Ashton Ventola scored 16 points for the Owls.

Evan Roeger came off the bench for some strong work on the boards to help Timberlane trip Oyster River, 52-43.

After losing to Nashua South three days earlier, Timberlane used balance scoring and great defense to defeat South 47-40.

Timberlane (1-3) got its first win, rolling past Merrimack 49-44. Luke Surprenant pumped in 10 points, Sean Chanakira 9 and Ashton Ventola 8.

PLAISTOW — If Windham senior Joey DaSilva can just master his free throw shooting, the rest of New Hampshire basketball is in deep trouble.

As it is, after two games, DaSilva is already proving to be a serious menace.

Timberlane raced to an 18-3 lead, but Windham caught fire from deep with 16 treys in a 78-62 comeback win. The Jags (1-0) scored 32 in the second quarter including seven 3's. Joey DaSilva (32 points, 7 3's) and Jack St. Hilaire (19, 5 3's) led the way. Timberlane's Luke Surprenant had 19 and six trifectas.
