Jaguars survive

 

Windham's unbeaten field hockey team survived a scare from Londonderry but got a second half goal from freshman Sophia Ponzini on an assist from Amy Lanouette to prevail 1-0 in the Division 1 quarterfinals. The Jaguars have still not given up a goal all season.

Salem knocked out

 

Salem scored first, on a goal by Abigail Thomas, and played well according to coach John Gatsas, but couldn't hold on and fell to Londonderry in the first round of the Division 1 field hockey tournament. Lyndsay Troisi had 15 saves for the Owls. Londonderry will face defending champ Windham Saturday.

Still unbeaten

 

Cecilia Ponzini scored twice and Amy Lanouette had a goal and two assists as Windham's field hockey team stayed unbeaten (6-0), blanking Londonderry 5-0.
