Newburyport's Lindsay Cullen placed first (19:44) at Maudslay State Park (3.0 miles). Kim Martins finished second (19:44) for the Clippers (8-4). Kristin Cole (third, 20:38), Maura Welch (fourth, 20:44) and Maddie Cutrone (fifth, 20:46) rounded out the scoring for Newburyport.

Shorthanded North Andover still cruises

Even with senior ace Kirsten Kasper resting a sore ankle, North Andover whipped Amesbury (15-48) and Georgetown (15-50). Karissa Mako took top honors for the Knights, running 17:53 for 2.85 miles at Harold Parker Park. She was followed in order by Olivia Marhsall (18:14), Lindsey Wray, Molly Carroll and Katrina Martyn.
