The Salem girls basketball team saw its season come to an end with a 69-64 overtime loss to Concord in the first round of the Division 1 tournament. The Blue Devils were led by 26 points from Jordyn Franzen and 16 from Olivia Murray.

Hazelton beats the buzzer!

Trailing by a point with five seconds left, Stella Hazelton caught a pass just beyond the arc and let it fly. As the crowd held its breath, Hazleton watched as the ball swished through the nylon as the final buzzer sounded to give Salem a dramatic 56-54 win over Manchester Central. Jordyn Franzen led the Blue Devils (15-5, 11-5 NH) with 21 points, and Hazleton added 9. The win was also No. 199 overall for coach Ricky Oliver between his days coaching at Nashua North and Salem.

Switch flipped

The Salem girls basketball team trailed 41-29 at halftime, but came out of the break on fire to take down Goffstown, 70-59. Jordyn Franzen scored 24 points with five 3s, Carly Saif added 16 points and Sydney Emerson dropped a season-high 15 for the Blue Devils.
