TEWKSBURY — The journey to the Division 1 North finals was certainly more enjoyable for Lawrence than Saturday night's 3-1 loss to unbeaten Winchester.

And it was just as noteworthy.

Yemayma Molina continued her fine play of late with nine kills as Lawrence improved to 16-2 in volleyball with a sweep of Billerica.

Dejalee Torres had eight aces to highlight Lawrence's sweep of Billerica. The Lancers improved to 13-2.

The Lawrence volleyball team had an impressive sweep of a strong Tewksbury club to improve to 10-1 and qualify for the state tournament. Yemayma Molina led the Lancers at the net with 15 kills.

Lawrence swept Methuen, 3-0, behind the stellar play from Yemayma Molina (10 kills), Dejalee Torres (4 blocks), and Amaiya Lu (8 digs). 

In a battle of once-beaten squads, Lawrence volleyball lost the first set then rallied to beat North Andover 3-1. Yemayma Molina had 17 kills and Vielka Sanchez 23 assists for the 8-1 Lancers.

The Lawrence volleyball team bounced back from its first loss of the season by routing Dracut in three sets. Yemayma Molina had 10 kills and three blocks for the Lancers (6-1).

The Haverhill and Lawrence volleyball teams were both undefeated heading into Friday night's game, but it was the Hillies that kept their record perfect with a 3-1 win. Jada Burdier had 20 kills and 6 aces and sister Kya added 28 assists for the Hillies, while Yemayma Molina led the Lancers with 11 kills and 3 blocks.

Adimir Heredia continued her fine play of late for the unbeaten Lawrence volleyball team, leading the Lancers with nine kills and three aces in a sweep of Tewksbury.

Yemayma Molina had 11 kills to power Lawrence volleyball to a sweep of Everett in its volleyball opener. Amaiya Lu had an impressive six aces for the Lancers.
