Lawrence won its season finale, 5-4, over Tewksbury. Jesus Echeverria and Santos Zelaya each scored twice. The Redmen stormed back from a 5-1 deficit but the Lancers (3-14-2) held them off with some stellar defense from Jesus Guzman.

Hillies heating up

The Haverhill boys soccer team won its second straight game with a 1-0 win over Lawrence. Ethan Archambault scored the goals for the Hillies (7-5-1), who also had three goals taken away from the referee, and Tyler Carroll pitched the shutout in net.

North Andover's boys soccer team got a goal from Caleb Ginsburg and blanked Lawrence 1-0. The Knights improved to 10-0-1 and still have not given up a goal all year, although the Lancers did hit the crossbar on three seperate free kicks.

Rodriguez stands tall

Arodi Rodriguez came up huge for the Lawrence boys soccer team, making six saves in the final five minutes to preserve a 3-2 win over Malden. Yuli Santos, Estuardo Ucelo and Santos Zelaya were the goal scorers for the Lancers.

Echevarria on fire

Lawrence beat Billerica, 4-1 for its first win (1-5-1). Standout sophomore Jesus Echevarria had two goals, his fifth and sixth of season. Lawrence tied its last game. The record is very deceptive as four of the five losses were by just one goal.

With the final seconds of regulation ticking away, Tanner Van Cor took a pass from Louis Dimopolous and buried the lone goal of the game to lead Haverhill to a 1-0 win over Lawrence.

For the second game in a row, John McCarthy netted a pair of goals to lead the Central Catholic boys soccer team to two straight 2-1 wins. On Tuesday, McCarthy helped the Raiders take down Lawrence, which got its goal from Arodi Rodriguez.
