Brown delivers big day as Andover takes down Haverhill

ANDOVER - If it was going to pull off the upset Saturday afternoon, Haverhill certainly couldn't have scripted a better start.

After receiving the opening kickoff against Andover, Hillies quarterback Brady Skafas lined up under center and handed the ball off to junior back Jabari Baptiste eight times in a row. The 5-foot-10, 205-pound workhorse bowled up the middle each time, and kick-started an eventual 16-play drive where he carried the rock 11 times for 45 yards.

Haverhill falls short to Westford Academy

WESTFORD — Haverhill's Ayden Alverado turned in 10 tackles, but the Hillies fell to Westford Academy 39-22 on Saturday. 

Senior Hillie QB Brady Skafas threw a 13-yard touchdown to Jayden Johnson in the second and ran for a 4-yard touchdown in the fourth.

Jabari Baptise added the other Hillie score — a four-yard TD run — and rushed for a team-high 90 yards. Teyshon McGee led the Brown and Gold with 85 receiving yards.
