Haverhill's softball team held a brief 2-1 lead but couldn't hold on, falling to Arlington 3-2 in the Division 1 North prelims. Losing pitcher Alyssa Wilson only allowed four hits and was 2 for 4 at the plate for the Hillies, who finish their season at 12-9.

Alyssa Wilson struck out 10 batters and didn't allow a single hit, as Haverhill softball topped Masconomet, 3-0. Eliana Kane went 2 for 4 and delivered the final blow with a two-run home run in the fifth inning.

In Haverhill's 8-1 win over Lawrence, Alyssa Wilson hit a triple and fired a 2-hitter. Jalyn Pearl drove in two runs and scored a run while going 2 for 2.

Sicily DiDomenico threw a no-hitter with 10 Ks and only one walk. Alyssa Wilson hit a triple and double and Jadynne Hill and Shannon Alvino both had three RBIs as Haverhill moved closer to the tournament with a 15-0 rout of Somerville.

Cori Rizzo started the rally in the bottom of the eighth inning when the Methuen senior laced a triple in a tie game against Haverhill. Emma McAlpine then hit a chopper that was fielded by the third basemen, but a throwing error to first allowed Rizzo to score and the Rangers to walk-off with a 6-5 win.

Sicily DiDomenico pitched a complete-game three-hitter with 12 strikeouts to lead Haverhill softball to a 5-0 shutout win over Masconomet.

Alyssa Wilson pitched a two-hit gem, striking out 11, but it was not quite enough as Haverhill lost a pitcher's duel to freshman star Giana LaCedra and unbeaten Lowell, 1-0. Brianna Constabile had Haverhill's only two hits.u

North Andover spoiled the unveiling of Haverhill's new turf softball field at the high school, defeating the Hillies 6-4. Olivia Rondeau was 2 for 4 with an RBI for the Knights (9-4) while Lindsay Joubert and Jadynne Hill (2 for 4, 2 runs scored) both hit home runs for Haverhill (6-6).

Haverhill softball upended Andover, 12-5, to win its fifth game in a row after starting the season 1-5. Kerrin McLaughlin led the way with a 2 for 3 performance, including a grand slam and five RBIs.

Kerrin McLaughlin got off to a slow start for Haverhill this spring but she's heating up now, going 4 for 4 with a double and three singles with two RBIs in an 11-5 win over Billerica. Brianna Constabile went 3 for 5 with a bases clearing double and Alyssa Wilson earned a save.
