WIndham wins one on road

 

PLAISTOW — All year long, the young Windham boys basketball team has taken baby steps forward.

But Friday night at Timberlane, the Jaguars took a much larger, call it a teenage step, in the right direction with a 61-42 victory. It was their third victory in the last seven games for Windham and the first not on their home court.

Cole Peterson and Riley Desmarais each scored 11 points as Windham downed Pinkerton, 42-34. Jay Reynolds had a game-high 14 for the Astros.

As the final seconds dwindled away, Windham point guard Riley Desmarais drove past his defender into the lane and dished a no-look pass to a wide-open Rocky Heres. Heres then converted the game-winning laup with two seconds left to give the Jags a thrilling 44-43 win over Trinity.
