Pelham field hockey's first season in Division 2 has been a success. The No. 6 Pythons took down No. 3 Souhegan, 1-0, to advance to the Division 2 semifinals.

Madi Robito scored with nine minutes left in the first half off a corner, set up by Abbey Bevens. From there, goalie Ryan Atkins made eight great saves. One came when she had to jump to barely deflect what looked to be a sure goal over the cage.

 Junior Abbey Bevens scored the 50th goal of her career and Sydney Nutter got the game-winner with three minutes left as the Pelham field hockey team edged Merrimack Valley 2-1 in the Division 2 first round of the state tournament. The Pythons will be at Souhegan at noon Saturday in the quarterfinals.

Abbey Bevens recorded her second hat trick in two days as the Pelham fiels hockey team beat Goffstown 4-1. Bevens, a junior, now has 15 goals on the season and 49 for her career. Pelham (11-3) opens in the Div. 2 tournament at home Wednesday.

Abbey Bevens scored on a corner with eight minutes left off an assist from Gwen Dahlinger to lead Pelham field hockey to a 1-0 win over Sanborn.

Sophomore Madi Robito was all over the field and finished with a hat-trick as Pelham field hockey improved to 5-0 with a win over Kingswood. Abbey Bevens scored her seventh goal of the season.

Abby Bevens scored eight minutes into the second half as Pelham edged Souhegan in a battle of field hockey unbeatens. Bevens, a junior, also assisted on Gwen Dahlger's first half goal and has six goals and four assists through four games. For her career, she already has 40 goals.
