Nicole Verrette struck out five in a 4-hit shutout to pitch Whittier past Newburyport in the Division 2 North first round. The 19-4 Wildcats were led offensively by Alyssa Michel (2 RBI), Kaley Thibault (triple, 2 runs, 2 hits) and Alicia Habib (2 hits). Kayle Hobbs starred in centerfield.

Greater New Bedford blanked Whittier, 2-0, in the state vocational large school finals. Nicole Verrette fired a five-hiter with seven strikeouts in defeat.

Alicia Habib hit a three-run homer, her third home run in three days, as Whittier beat Lowell Catholic 4-0. Nicole Verrette allowed just two hits, while Kaley Thibault excelled on defense at third as the Wildcats avenged one of their two losses this spring.

Kayle Hobbs and Alicia Habib each homered for the second time in two days, as Whittier rolled over Essex Tech 10-2. Kyleigh Jo Campbell was 3 for 3 with two runs and an RBI as the Wildcats clinched the CAC Division 1 title.

Kayle Hobbs crushed an solo home run and a triple and was a double shy of hitting for the cycle as Whittier beat Northeast 10-3. Nicole Varrette had 10 Ks in the win.

Nicole Verrette threw a no-hitter, striking out 12 without issuing a walk as Whittier Tech (11-2) blanked Salem 6-0. The only Salem baserunner came on a hit by pitch twice. Kayle Hobbs had a two-run triple for the Wildcats and was 2 for 4.

A pair of freshmen came up big as Whittier downed Innovation Charter, 15-1, in 4.5 innings. Alicia Habib fired a no-hitter with nine Ks and also homered and drove in four runs. Alyssa Michel was 2 for 2 with 2 runs and 2 RBI. 

Kelleigh Greaney was 3 for 3 with four RBIs to pace Whittier Tech to a 13-0 win over Mystic Valley. Nicole Verrette allowed just one hit and struck out seven in five innings for the win.
