Wayland rolled past Haverhill, 3-0, in the North first round, ending a terrific 22-year run for retiring Hillie coach Bill Kaste, who won 286 games with the boys' program. Spencer Dellea (9 kills) and Connor Buscema (7 kills) led the Hillies, who finished at 9-8.

Haverhill freshman Connor Buscema had his best performance of the season, leading the Hillies with 17 kills and adding 14 digs as Haverhill swept Billerica in volleyball.

Haverhill qualified for the tournament with a sweep of Andover. Spencer Dellea led the Hillies (8-7) with 17 kills and Cooper Gibbs had 27 assists.

Delfy Soler had a season-high 17 kills and 16 service points, including six aces, as Lawrence improved to 15-3 with a 3-1 win over Haverhill.

Matt Ferrara led Central Catholic in kills (22), aces (3) and digs (25) in the Raiders' hard fought 3-2 volleyball win over Haverhill. Jack Roderick had a wopping 48 assists and 15 service points.

Spencer Della had a team-high 19 kills and two aces to lead Haverhill volleyball to a 3-1 match win over Andover. Cooper Gibbs also had 30 assists and 1.5 blocks for the Hillies, and Yanchen Zhan had a team-high 12 kills and 16 service points for the Warriors.

Andre Wilson led the surging Lawrence volleyball team (9-2) to a sweep of Haverhill with 10 kills and 11 service points.

Spencer Dellea had 16 kills and a pair of blocks and Cooper Gibbs had 30 assists as Haverhill's volleyball team opened its season with a 3-1 win over Methuen.
