Casey Langley fired home a pair of goals as Haverhill finished its season strong with a 5-1 victory over Whittier-Amesbury. Shane Corbett and Zach Roughan combined to make 27 saves for the Hillies.

Amesbury's Pat Birmingham scored three goals to lead his team to a 4-3 win over Rockport. Zack Begin had a goal and two assists, Owen Reid had two assists, and reserve goalie Brian Birmingham made 18 saves to pick up the win in just his second game at goalie ever.

Pentucket had itself a day on Friday, getting goals from six different players on the way to an 8-1 win over Amesbury. Jack Queenan and Richie Hardy each had two goals, and Keegan Comeau, Cam Martin, Hazen Pike and Carson Purcell each scored as well. Amesbury's lone goal was an unassisted tally from Pat Birmingham.

It's been a tough season for Amesbury hockey, but not because of goalie Charlie Baxter. The Amesbury netminder made 32 saves in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to North Reading, holding the Hornets scoreless over the final two periods. Cam Chambers scored Amesbury's goal in the second period, assisted by Nolan McGrath.

After being tied through one period, the Amesbury boys hockey team wasn't able to hold on in Wednesday night's 4-1 defeat to Masconoment. Goalie Charlie Baxter withstood 32 shots on net and came up with 28 saves in the loss.

Newburyport hockey picked up another road win on Monday, knocking off Cape Ann League rival Amesbury 3-1. Matt Babcock, Jacob Grossi-Hogg and Frank Kerney had the goals and Ken Hodge made 14 saves. With the win, Newburyport (7-1-4) now needs only three points to qualify for the postseason. The Clippers can clinch with either a win and a tie or two wins, and the next two games will be Wednesday against North Reading and Saturday against defending Division 1 state champion St. Mary's of Lynn.

Pentucket hockey stretched its unbeaten streak to five games with its 5-1 win over Amesbury on Saturday, getting two goals from Hazen Pike and single tallies from Cam Martin, Rich Hardy, Jack Queenan. Amesbury got its lone goal from Zach Begin.

Amesbury hockey won its first game of the year on Wednesday, knocking off Everett 4-2 on the road. Kyle Murray, Logan Bridgewater, Nolan McGrath and Zack Begin each had goals in the win, and Charlie Baxter made 14 saves.
