It was a fantastic season for Pentucket boys tennis, but the postseason run came to an end with a 3-2 loss to Weston in the Division 3 North finals Friday.

Pentucket's boys tennis team defeated Ipswich 4-1 in the Division 3 North semifinals to reach the finals for the first time in at least 10 years and perhaps ever. Connor Aulson and Cory Foster won at singles and both doubles teams were victorious for the Sachems (16-2), who will face a tough Weston team Friday.

Pentucket boys tennis easily dispatched of Austin Prep 4-1 to advance to this Tuesday's Division 3 North Semifinal against Ipswich. Connor Aulson and Cory Foster each won their singles matches, and the teams of Max Jackson and Nick Piotrowski and Min Bachrach and Liam McDonough won their doubles matches as well.

Max Jackson and Nick Piotrowski battled for a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles as Pentucket dealt Boston Latin Academy its second loss of the season, 4-1.

With the CAL Kinney title on the line, Pentucket downed fellow power Masconomet 4-1. Hotshot Connor Aulson was immense (6-0, 6-0) at No. 1. Freshman Cory Foster had a big win at third singles.

Freshman Cory Foster earned his first varsity win, the deciding match in Pentucket's 3-2 victory over Manchester Essex. It was the first win for the Sachems over the Hornets since 2011, according to coach Chrisian Langlois.
