Leading Salem 4-2 late in Thursday's Division 2 North First Round matchup, North Andover baseball allowed four runs in the top of the seventh to fall 6-4. The Scarlet Knights finish the season 16-6, while Salem improves to 11-10 and will face Gloucester in the next round.

The senior captains had a great day as North Andover blanked Chelmsford 11-0. Drew Finn went 4 for 4 with 4 runs scored and 2 stolen bases, Trevor Ham was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI and Mitch McQuate had 2 doubles and a triple with 7 RBI. 

Down by three heading into its last at-bat, North Andover exploded for seven runs in the top of the seventh highlighted by Sam Conte's two-out, go-ahead hit to cap the Knights' 8-4 comeback victory. Sebastian Keane went 2 for 3 with two triples and three RBIs in the win.

Barnstable didn't have an answer for North Andover's Sebastian Keane. The sophomore threw a complete game shutout with nine strikeouts to help his Knights win their third straight.

Anthony Sapienza pitched a 5-hitter with six strikeouts and one walk and Mitch McQuate drove in three runs at North Andover blanked Lowell, 6-0.

Brendan O'Shea improved to 4-0 on the season, scattering five hits and allowing just one unearned in a complete-game effort as Methuen beat North Andover 5-1.

For the second game in a row, Connor Morin drove in the winning run for North Andover. He went 1 for 4 on the day, as the Knights walked-off to beat Dracut 2-1 and remain unbeaten (7-0).

Haverhill's Jake Young (7.2 ip, 4 Ks) and North Andover's Sebastian Keane (7 ip, 1 hit, 5 Ks) dualed it out on the mound without allowing a run. But it was the Knights who prevailed in eight innings when Conor Morin drove in Mitch McQuate for the 1-0 walk-off win.

Anthony Sapienza allowed three hits and struck out 12 in a complete-game effort as North Andover beat Chelmsford 5-0. Drew Finn drove in a run and scored two more.

Making his first start at second base, sophomore Jake Madigan went 3-for-3 with two RBIs to power North Andover to an 8-0 win over Arlington. Sebastian Keane got the win on the mound and drove in a run.
