Phillips makes championship

Phillips Academy defeated Tabor 8-2 in the Central New England Prep semifinals, but fell to Worcester Academy 5-2 in the championship game a few hours later. Georgetown's Travis Lane went 3 for 5 with three RBIs on the day, and also pitched a couple good innings of relief for Phillips.

The Latham-Lane show

North Andover's Tristan Latham and Georgetown's Travis Lane helped Phillips take both games in a double-header against Deerfield Academy. Latham went 4 for 6 with an RBI, and Lane took a perfect game into the fifth inning before a single broke up his bid. The wins did clinch the No.1 seed for Phillips in the Central New England Prep tournament.

Clutch seventh

Down three runs heading into its last at-bat, Phillips plated three runs, two with two outs, and scored the winning run in the eighth to take the 6-5 walkoff victory over archrival Phillips Exeter.

Tie game!

Phillips and Groton baseball played until the sun went down, finishing up tied 3-3 after 10 innings. Taylor Beckett and Kai Marcos each had sacrifice flies for the Big Blue, and Jackson Emus pitched four scoreless innings in relief.

Leave it to Lane

Travis Lane of Georgetown belted a three-run home run in the bottom of the first, then pitched the top of the seventh to get the save in a 4-3 win for Phillips over Bridgton Academy. North Andover's Tristen Latham hit the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the fourth.
