Led by 11 points from senior Ally Statezni, No. 7 Sanborn clipped No. 10 White Mountains 36-31 in the first round of the New Hampshire Division 3 tournament. The Indians (15-4) will play at No. 2 Prospect Mountain in the quarterfinals Satuday at 7 p.m.

The Sanborn girls basketball team do most of there scoring daming from inside the arc. But in its win over Raymond, the Indians went 5-of-10 from 3-point range, led by two downtown bombs from Skyla Shibel (game-high 12 points).

After battling foul trouble early, Ally Statezni scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half to turn a three-point halftime lead into a 42-21 Sanborn win over Somersworth.

Sanborn's girls held Belmont to two points in the second quarter on their way to a 43-34 victory. Ally Statezni led the Indians, now 11-1, with 15 points.

Sophie Merry-Carreiro (15 points) and Kaitlin Broadhurst (12 points) each pumped in season highs to help Sanborn edge St. Thomas 47-43.

After suffering its first loss of the season to undefeated Prospect Mountain, Sanborn (8-1) responded with a 49-36 victory over Winnisquam. The Indians were led in scoring with 15 points from Haley Basiliere and 14 points from Ally Statezni. 

Sanborn got a layup from Sophie Mary-Carreiro as timed expired in the fourth quarter to send its game against Gilford into overtime. In the extra frame, Ally Statezni, who led the Indians with 18 points, scored the lone bucket to give her team the 48-46 victory. Sanborn remains a perfect 7-0.

Ally Statezni outscored St. Thomas Aquinas by herself, dropping 14 points for Sanborn in a 53-13 rout. Fellow Indian Bri Center had 13 points on three 3's in the win.

Ally Statezni scored all 18 of her points in the second half and overtime as Sanborn outlasted Hopkinton 46-41. Skyla Shibel hit the game-clinching 3-pointer and the Indians did not allow a point in OT.

Under new coach Brian Gray, Sanborn opened its season with a convincing 50-19 win over Somersworth. Senior forward Ally Statezni had 15 points and sophomore guard Bri Center chipped in with 11.
