Cleasby in command again as Windham rolls

 

Windham junior Jaime Cleasby hasn't let up a bit in the Division 2 state tournament.

For the second straight game, Cleasby was in prime form as the Jaguars rolled, 8-0 over Trinity to advance to the semifinals at Southern New Hampshire University Wednesday against No. 4 seed Plymouth at 7 p.m.

Cleasby in prime form again

 

Windham senior Jaime Cleasby was in prime form again Saturday as unbeaten Windham (19-0) rolled past Trinity in the Division 2 quarterfinals, 8-0, to advance to the semifinals Wednesday against No. 4 seed Plymouth at Southern new Hampshire University.

Finishes unbeaten

 

Windham's softball team finished the regular season undefeated (17-0) with an 18-5 rout of Hanover. Alyssa Upton had three doubles and five RBIs and scored three times and Rachel Estes added three hits and three RBIs as well.

More K's for Cleasby

Jaimie Cleasby struck out 17 while only allowing two hits in her complete-game victory over Milford. Rachel Estes hit a solo homerun in the top of the sixth to tie the game at 1-1, and Jordan Hillyer scored on a passed ball in the seventh for what would be the game-winning run to keep the Jaguars an undefeated 16-0 on the season.

Jaime Cleasby struck out 14 batters, accounting for all but one out of Windham's five-inning 14-0 victory over Hollis-Brookline. Cleasby added two RBIs and Hannah Klaassens drove home three runs.

Unbeaten Windham faced a tough test against a one-loss Souhegan squad, but a five-run seventh inning ensured the Jaguars would remain a perfect 14-0. Jaime Cleasby had a team-high four RBI's, but that was not her most impressive stat. She pitched four innings of relief from starter Rachel Rogers, and got all 12 of her outs with strikeouts,

Rachel Estes was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Jaime Cleasby had 11 strikeouts while scattering five hits as Windham (13-0) remained unbeaten with a 3-2 win over once-beaten Goffstown.

Unbeaten Windham got out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning on its way to a 10-5 win over Plymouth to set up a showdown Wednesday against unbeaten Sanborn. Alyssa Upton and Hannah Klaasens were both 3 for 4 and scored twice for the Jaguars (9-0).

Rogers with the no-hitter

Rachel Rogers recorded 10 strikeouts in Windham's 10-0 victory, but none were bigger than the last. Rogers stuck out  Hollis-Brookline's Cassidy Piggot for the final out of the game, sealing a no-hitter.
