Phillips Academy beat Phillips Exeter and Worcester Academy in a double-header to win the Central New England Prep School Championship. Georgetown's Travis Lane pitched a complete-game shutout in the first match against Exeter, striking out eight and only allowing three hits. Travis's brother Thomas Lane is a freshmen pitcher at Boston College. In the championship game, Payton Jancsy hit a leadoff homerun in the top of the eigth to put Phillips ahead. The homerun was the first of Jancsy's career. Andover's Sam Conte also hit a homerun in the top of the third. Lane won tournament MVP.
