Central Catholic rolled past North Andover, 11-3, to improve to 11-2 and clinch the outright MVC Large title. Madison Borrelli and Hayley Andrade both drove in three runs and Bella Jankowski plated a pair.

Allie Morgenstern was 3 for 3 with an RBI and Meg Hartnett was 2 for 4 with three RBIs as Andover's softball team moved back to .500 (7-7) with a 12-3 win over North Andover.

With Whittier Tech trailing North Andover, 3-0, Lena Faranna came alive, driving in five runs as the Wildcats rallied to stay perfect with a 13-3 victory. Faranna tripled in three, then added an RBI double and a run-producing single as well.

Andover hit parade

 

Andover's softball team opened its season with a bang, clouting 22 hits while drilling North Andover 19-2 in five innings. Amy Bordogna, Tori Roche and Meg Hartnett all had three hits and Andrea Papa drove in four runs. Meg Hartnett and younger sister Kathleen Hartnett combined on a three-hitter for the win.
