Brett Kochanski and Tyler Buonopane each scored a goal as North Andover locked up its first tournament trip since 2012 with a 2-0 victory over rival Haverhill. Eric Hall made 24 saves for the shutout.

North Andover, with three games to play, inched to within two points of a state tourney berth, knocking off Lincoln-Sudbury, 2-1, last night. A.J. Keating set up both goals for the Knights, whose only bad news came in the final minute when Eric Hall's brilliant (26 saves) shutout bid went for naught.

Knights in stunner

 

North Andover's surging hockey team scored three goals in the third period to stun North Reading 4-3. Dana Rodrigues scored both of his goals in the third period for the Knights (8-5-2), including the game-winner. Matt Bosco had a goal and two assists and Ben Carlson made 25 saves in net. The Hornets dropped to 11-2-1.

Andover's hockey team recorded its fourth straight shutout, this time with Drew Santos in goal, in a 5-0 shutout of North Andover. Tom Devaney had his first varsity goal for the Warriors (5-3-2) who had five different goal scorers.
