The Lawrence girls basketball team won its second game of the season, 54-47 over Somerville. Sophomore Jasmine Mejia led the way with 15 points while Emily Ramos and Hazell Boone added 13 and 12, respectively.

Winless no more!

The Lawrence girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season on Sunday, coming back to beat Haverhill 30-28 in the final minute. The Hillies led 28-27 with about 12 seconds left before sophomore Jasmine Mejia hit a big two-pointer to give Lawrence the lead. The Hillies couldn't convert on its final possession and then sophomore Jaritza Paulino hit a free throw on the ensuing foul to clinch the win.

Jillian Webber notched 28 points as Andover snapped a three-game losing streak by beating Lawrence 61-35. Taylor Landry added 11 for the winners.
