Minuteman Mustangs Softball '15

13 for PMA

The Presentation of Mary softball team's bats came to life on Thursday, as the Panthers recorded 17 hits as a team to down Minuteman 13-1 in five innings. Anna Durkin went 3-for-4 with three runs, Gabby Salerno went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs, and Lindsay Gill drove in two while allowing just one run in a winning effort on the mound.

Olivia Michaud blasted a grand slam to spark a 10-run inning as Greater Lawrence swept a doubleheader from Minuteman 13-2 and 8-3.

Wildcats keep romping


Whittier's unbeaten softball team (10-0) enjoyed another romp Friday, blasting Minuteman 17-0 in five innings. Lena Faranna got the win while Dominque Ortiz was 3 for 3 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Whittier has now outscored its opponents 129-12 on the year. Usual starter Kayla Riley played shortstop and was 3 for 4, scoring four runs and knocking in three.

PMA bashes Minuteman

Gabby Salerno rapped a pair of doubles among her four hits and five others had at least three base hits as Presentation of Mary rolled past Minuteman 18-10. Samantha Boksanski drove in three while five others had at least two RBI.
