Courtney Carver placed second in the all-around (37.025) to lead Andover to the North Sectional title on Saturday, as reported in Sunday's paper.

State champ

Nicole Stevens of North Andover won the beam with a 9.675 and placed fifth in the all-around with a 36.35 at the State Individual Gymnastics Championships. Andover's Courtney Carver was eighth in the all-around and sixth on vault.

McDonald wins all-around to lead Central to MVC title

Bryce McDonald was the overall winner with a 35.75 to lead Central Catholic to the team title at the MVC Championship at Lakeview Junior High in Methuen on Wednesday.

McDonald placed second on the bars (9.0), third on the beam (8.9) and third on the floor (9.45).

Dugan, Raiders prevail

 

Central Catholic's Kayleigh Dugan edged North Andover's Nicole Stevens in a battle of two of the top gymnasts in the area and the Raiders' gymnastics team remained unbeaten with a school record score of 142.9.
